MENTAL SKILLS AND PERFORMANCE COACH

(415) 234-3863

I grew up in Minnesota, where I spent the majority of my life playing competitive hockey and soccer. Growing up, I had goals of playing college sports, but that opportunity was quickly taken away in my junior year of high school due to mental and physical health concerns. The only 'fun fact' I had to share about myself was that I was a hockey and soccer player. Once those identities were gone, I was faced with the challenge of discovering who I was outside of being an athlete.

While playing hockey and soccer, I loved competing, being a part of a team, and continuing to develop as a person on and off the field. With all of the excitement of being an athlete also came a lot of pressure, expectations to perform a certain way, fear of what others thought of me, and difficulty bouncing back from mistakes. I held myself to the highest standards, which helped me to compete at high levels, but also hindered my self-confidence and enjoyment of the sport.

I understand the roller coaster of emotions that comes with competing in the sport(s) we love. As athletes, we sign up to face challenges, celebrate the highs, and learn from the lows. Through mental performance coaching you have the opportunity to:

  • Enhance your self-belief and confidence
  • Gain control over your focus and concentration
  • Effectively manage stress and anxiety
  • Develop resilience and mental toughness
  • Set and achieve realistic and ambitious goals
  • Foster productive self-talk and thought patterns
  • Regulate emotions for optimal performance

Since my days as a hockey and soccer player, I have discovered my passion for supporting performers in becoming the best version of themselves and showing them the true power of their minds. I am a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and currently pursuing my Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification. My past experiences include being a Mental Performance Intern with the Arizona Diamondbacks and as a Mindfulness Coach and Teacher at a private hockey school.

As I join the Bay Area community, I am excited to offer unconditional support through the highs and lows of being a competitor. With my expertise in the mental game, I will help you navigate challenges, enhance your performance, and unlock your full potential. Together, we will harness your strengths, turn obstacles into opportunities, and elevate your game, achieving the success you deserve.
