Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
As a retired competitive gymnast with 16 years in the sport, I understand the unique pressures athletes face: injuries, performance expectations, and the mental and emotional challenges that come with it. My own journey taught me the importance of resilience and recovery, both physically and mentally. I’ve worked through setbacks and developed the mental skills needed to overcome them. This experience has been invaluable in my work with athletes dealing with similar struggles, from competition stress and injuries to burnout and performance anxiety.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of San Francisco (Go Dons!) and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. While in graduate school, I completed my traineeship working in schools to promote resilience and academic performance for children facing poverty and homelessness. I also have experience in private practice, working with a diverse range of clients navigating challenges related to relationships, career transitions, and anxiety.
I utilize DBT skills and Narrative Therapy to build effective communication, increase the ability to perform under pressure, and understand ourselves more deeply. In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where we explore your personal and athletic experiences, ultimately paving the way for your best performance, on and off the field.
