Dr. Lauren Lowe, Psy.D., CMPC, M.S.
Clinical and Sports Psychologist
Certified Mental Performance Consultant
Growing up in Marin and San Francisco, I was surrounded by creativity, ambition, and a culture that encouraged pursuing excellence. As a lifelong athlete and Division I sports competitor, I experienced firsthand the relentless demands of performing under pressure—balancing training, academics, expectations, and the constant pursuit of improvement. I also know what it feels like to navigate setbacks, injuries, self-doubt, and the pressure to always deliver at your best.
While my own performance journey began in sport, my work has expanded to support athletes, CEOs, doctors, lawyers, working parents, musicians, performing artists, and other performance professionals whose careers require the same mental resilience, focus, and courage. Whether you’re stepping onto a field, stage, into the studio, boardroom, courtroom, or clinic, or navigating the emotional highs and lows of a demanding career, I understand the unique psychological demands of performing under pressure.
As a licensed clinical and sports psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), I combine evidence-based clinical psychology with performance science to help clients build confidence, manage anxiety, recover from setbacks, strengthen their mental skills, and cultivate sustainable well-being without sacrificing excellence. My goal is to help you perform at your highest level while also creating a fulfilling life beyond the spotlight.
The foundation of my work is a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and respect. I strive to create an affirming, inclusive environment where every client feels safe to show up as their full self. I recognize that performance is shaped not only by individual mindset but also by the cultural, systemic, and interpersonal experiences that influence each person’s journey.
I founded Align Sports & Performance Psychology because I believe exceptional performers deserve psychological care from someone who understands the realities of high-performance environments. Lasting success comes not from perfection, but from developing a passion for the process and the resilience, self-awareness, and balance that allow you to thrive both on the field and in life.
